The respective benefits of modular, prefabricated and traditional construction methods are hotly debated. The truth is that there are times when construction projects are best built using traditional on-site construction methods.

Modcon Projects’ leadership team has extensive management experience with traditional build construction. In their former roles, before establishing Modcon Projects, our leadership team gained extensive management experience through working with many large businesses and government departments, including the Intercontinental Hotel Group, Rydges Hotels and Resorts, the Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Defence Force, Christchurch City Council, Restaurant Brands and Progressive Enterprises.

We provide innovative designs and durable traditional construction solutions, having amassed extensive experience and broad knowledge in all aspects of construction.

MODULAR CONSTRUCTION

VERSATILITY TO TACKLE A DIVERSE RANGE OF COMPLEX PROJECTS

Modcon Projects limited can assist clients with ensuring globally sourced products meet NZ standards.

We work along side client’s in regard to compliance with imported modular units and can assist with the sign off of service trades and building materials prior to importation.

Modular construction is best implemented using an early contractor involvement (ECI) model. This ensures quality and compliance with NZ standards.

Modcon Projects can also assist with certification and testing of globally sourced components. This testing is arranged prior to importation to ensure a seamless transition from country of origin to New Zealand.

Our management has successfully imported and certified products from Asia, Europe and the USA.

PRE-FAB CONSTRUCTION

EVERY GREAT BUILD REQUIRES A STRONG FOUNDATION.

Pre-fab / flat pack construction is an advanced, end-to-end design and build construction system.

The system can be used to fast track developments thus saving clients time and money through economies of scale management and with global sourcing of products.

Management and overheads are significantly reduced during the onsite construction phase and speed is particularly beneficial to clients that rely on operational revenue such as in the hospitality sector.

Prefab / flat pack developments are managed under strict conditions ensuring quality assurance is maintained throughout the process. These systems can be used for a diverse range of projects and markets.

Modcon Projects is currently working to assist projects with certification testing through BRANZ appraisals and with testing in China via Intertek. We are also assisting with testing products to ensure they meet Australian standards as well as NZ standards.
